Believing is Seeing . . .

You may have heard the quote: "Seeing is believing".

For many people seeing is believing. They must be able to see something in order to believe it. But have you ever tried to convince someone of something and you can't. No matter how you present the facts, some people will not believe them. They just won't see it your way. Even with the evidence in plain sight some people will not see what you see.

Some things need to be seen, in order to be believed. Others need to be believed in order to be seen.

War Games . . .

War games is what the United States is currently engaged in in Iraq. A very deadly game, but still just a game none the less.

In a real war each side is out to destroy and defeat the opponent. The United States is only "playing" war and not really prepared to destroy anyone or anything. One reason being that the U.S. doesn't really have a clearly defined opponent.

Osoma Bin Laden only had to kill 19 of his followers to cause the deaths of over 2,850 people here in the U.S. (The 19 men that flew the suicide missions on September 11, 2001)

George Bush has killed over 2200 of his followers and more die EVERY DAY in the pursuit of ... in the pursuit of . . . hmmm. What are we pursuing again ??

I bet Bin Laden is laughing. Only 19 of his people died. And they planned on it. They knew it was going to happen.

Thoughts on the telephone . . .

The telephone is the single most unproductive tool we have today. How many times has a client called you to say, "Hey ! Things are working great here." It just doesn't happen. They call because things are not working great. Or not working at all.

Every time I answer my phone, (which is almost never) the person on the other end has a problem.

Every time I call somewhere I find it very difficult to get a live person to answer the phone. Once I do get to speak to live person, it is VERY rare that they have the answer to my question. (at least not the correct answer) More importantly, they have no power or authority to rectify the problem I am calling about. At least no real power. You see... the individuals that do have the authority & power to fix a problem do not speak on the phone.

When was the last time you called your doctor's office and the doctor actually answered the phone? Or was even available to speak to you on the phone ??

How about your lawyer's office? Same thing ?? Political figures? Try calling your congressman or a US senator.

So . . . as of today I have come to the realization that telephones and cell phones have a key-pad on them for one reason only. They are designed to CALL OUT. Not be answered. And if everyone only called out who would they talk to ?? Voicemail !

Until Something Changes . . .

Randy Davis, the most successful multi-level marketing entrepreneur of all time, once told me "Until something changes, nothing changes."

How many people do you know that regularly complain about their jobs, their financial situation, or their life in general? Now how many of those people ever do anything to change the very situation that they complain about ??

No matter how uncomfortable one's situation may be, for some, it is easier than actually changing the situation itself. Things don't just change by themselves for no reason. They change because something or someone caused a change to happen.

Until Something Changes . . . Nothing Changes.

Remembering the future.

Have you ever wondered why it is that we can remember the past but not the future ? Well sometimes we actually do remember the future. It is that unexplainable phenomenon that we call déjà vu.

We can't always remember the future. But then again, we can't always remember the past either.
